On Saturday, March 25—on the eve of what would have been Teddy Pendergrass’ 67th birthday—Magee Rehabilitation Hospital and the Teddy and Joan Pendergrass Foundation will celebrate the R&B singer’s life and legacy.
During Teddy Pendergrass Day, patients of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, guests, and staff—along with friends of Pendergrass and his widow, Joan—will have the opportunity to listen to the artist’s music; view memorabilia such as his gold and platinum records; watch the live concert film, Close the Door, which features interviews with Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr Guy Fried; and hear tributes from those closest to Teddy.
The event will take place from 2 pm to 4 pm, with remarks at 2:30 pm.
